Muk Luks History
The Muk Luks story starts in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1911, two brothers, Armin and Samuel Rosenberg, founded Reliable Knitting Works. What began as a knitting business grew into a family‑owned company focused on cozy essentials made for everyday wear.

In 1972, Muk Luks Slipper Socks were introduced to the world. The goal was simple. Create footwear that felt warm, comfortable, and expressive. That idea still guides everything we do today.

Muk Luks has remained family‑owned for four generations, now led by the Polacheck and Blutstein families. The brand continues to be proudly designed in Milwaukee and loved by customers around the world.
From the beginning, Muk Luks was about more than function. Color, texture, pattern, and personality have always been part of the design. Cozy sweater knits, soft yarns, and playful details allow you to express yourself while staying comfortable.
That philosophy lives on through our mantra. Wear your way of life. Muk Luks believes comfort should never feel limiting. Your footwear should fit who you are and how you live.
Today, Muk Luks continues to build long‑standing relationships with retailers and customers while giving back to communities on both local and national levels. The same care that goes into our designs goes into how we show up as a brand.
